Araura College bid a sad farewell to its outgoing principal Enoa Raea at the Aitutaki airport on Monday. Raea is leaving the school
after two years as its head.
Drummers beat out a goodbye as students and teachers formed a guard of honour for Raea leading to the waiting plane.
As a testament to Raeas work with the college, students and teachers shed a few tears during the farewell.
Barely out of the airport terminal, you could hardly see Raeas face for all the ei placed on his shoulders.
Raea is heading back to New Zealand after his short but obviously worthy stay at Araura.
Tarona Taniela will take over as the colleges principal next year.
